Chase leads a talented, mission-driven team of 80 staff dedicated to delivering weatherization services to income-qualifying, elderly, and other energy-burdened, under-resourced communities across Virginia and the Southeastern United States. Services include home repairs, electrification, weatherization, and solarization through federal, state, and utility-sponsored programs at no cost to participants. CHP Energy Solutions has delivered services safely and effectively to more than 30,000 households since 2015.
Chase previously organized solarize campaigns in southwest Virginia and began as an instructor teaching building science and weatherization. He later conducted residential and commercial energy audits as an independent consultant. He is a Certified Energy Manager®, licensed Virginia Residential Building Energy Analyst, a past fellow of the Clean Energy Leadership Institute, holds several designations with the Building Performance Institute, engaged in several industry organizations, serves as the Global Director of Outreach for Weatherizers Without Borders, on the Board of Directors for the Virginia Energy Efficiency Council, and as Co-Chair of the Board of Directors for the North Carolina Sustainable Energy Association. He was also recognized on Energy News Network's 2020 40 Under 40 list of clean energy leaders. In 2023, Virginia's Senate appointed him to the Virginia Solar Energy Development and Energy Storage Authority. Chase joined CHP Energy Solutions in 2010 after completing a B.S. in Environmental Policy and Planning at Virginia Tech.
